I picked up the Earl Averill postcard pictured below and issued in the early 1970s. The writing on the back explains the reason for why it was produced. When I first glanced at the pose, it brought to mind Averill's Worch Cigar card. As if often the case, I was wrong. The Worch pose is a different one. I feel like I've seen this pose on one of Averill's cards and just can't place it. Does it look familiar to anyone? It's quite possible that it never was used on a card, but I keep thinking it was.
