Anyone win anything? I was outbid on EVERYTHING. The below item being one of them. I am curious on what autograph peeps think of the price it realized taking everything into account; poor shape(paper), strong sig and content. Just want to know which way I should feel about losing it as I have been going back and forth all day long all day strong

That price does seem high... especially given the condition. Perhaps a paper restorer can flatten it out and/or frame + mat it to look more acceptable. Despite the strong sig, I would not kick myself over this one. Another nicer Gehrig will come along at a more affordable price. Heritage is hardly the place for bargains.
As for me, I REALLY wanted that Matty Fan for a Fan. These things have dried up, big time. Price-wise, it quickly escaped my grasp, as did a bunch of other pretty cool stuff. Probably better for me to sit out a few anyway, so no remorse here... |

That is what I figured but matted and framed flat /pressed with a TYPE 1 photo, it would look pretty sweet. BUT I agree with you....probably best to take a load of fanny for awhile.... After all, it is free..

It would seem to me that Gehrig ALSs haven't been as readily available over the last couple of years. Even with today's economy, that item sold for the price it should have.

While I had bids in on a couple of items, I was going hot and heavy after 1 Mantle Bazooka Box. I figured to pick it up somewhere in the 3k range. I ended up as the under bidder after calling and finding out it had a "bend" (translate - crease) right through the card which could have been stated more clearly in the description. Still an unbelievable price imho. Oh well, there's always next time.............I hope
