This is a neat item you don't see everyday. After retiring as a player, Anson ran several enterprises in Chicago, including opening a billiards and bowling hall. Anson was also a pretty good bowler and actually won the American Bowling Congress Team title in 1904. This is assumed to be a locker rental lock or something of the sort.
The lock measures roughly 4.5 by 2.5 inches. It is also quite heavy. The lock is made of metal and is in overall EX condition. There is a tiny bit of rust on the part of the lock that goes into the locking mechanism. It can clearly be seen in the scan and could be taken off with steel wool. The original key is with the lock and the lock is in complete working order. I don't know how many of these locks still exist (this is my only one) but this is not the one from eBay from a few months back so there is at least one other out there. Sold ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
