| Age of Tris Speaker & Doubleday Field mini bats?

I recently got a these mini bats in a lot with a few other things... The Speaker measures roughly 16 inches: Trademark reads: LOUISVILLE SLUGGER 40 Hillerich & Bradsby Co Trade Mark LOUISVILLE, KY Has a large facsimile signature on the barrel and underneath reads "REG.U.S.PAT.OFF" The Doubleday Field bat measures just over 16 inches and has a blue and red diamond on the barrel. The outside reads "The birthplace of Baseball" and "Made in Cooperstown," and the inside reads "Doubleday Field Bat 1839-1939." Definitely seems old but I am unsure if it dates from 1939 or not. I'll try to post pictures tonight. Last edited by collectbaseball; 06-17-2009 at 02:30 PM. |
