I love these regionals. I believe there are 13 cards in this set but the Sihugo Green is impossible--only 1 card graded in total last time I checked. Here is a PSA 9 beauty from the set. |

But why is it ultra rare? That is the story that always interests me. Was it a legal issue, like '59 Fleer #68, or a personal issue like '48 Leaf Graziano? Or deliberate like '32 US Caramel Lindstrom or George C Miller Ivy Andrews? To me that is often what makes a set a lot more interesting. Anyone know why this card is so tough? |

Any idea why these appear to be more plentiful and in higher demand than the Kahn's?? Or is it that the scarcity of the Kahn's reduces demand?? |

I think all Kahn's Basketball sets are incredibly scarce...especially in high grade. Essex Meats I would call moderately tough except for the Sihugo Green which is impossible--just had a higher print run. |
