I have a Carl Yastrzemski and dont know if it is the 1964 or 1965 version. How do you tell?>?? |

Hi Claude, good question. I think the only way to tell is by the lifetime batting average. I checked my 2 Cardinals (Groat & McCarver), and Groat's lifetime average on both cards was .293. After checking his stats, that WAS his average after both the 1963 & 1964 seasons. I did notice that my 1965 version has a black "1" in the upper right hand corner in the green area. The card I call 1964 does not. The 1965 McCarver does not have a card number. Can anybody else chime in here? |

I think that's right-ERA or BA needs to be calculated to determine the correct year. |
