I have picked up a few cards from this set recently and have grown to like them a lot. I know from doing research on them people tend to either love them or hate them, very few in between. Just wondering what some of your thoughts were. |

I like the set a lot, I think it has a little bit of everything, the old (Ruth, Wagner), the new (Paige RC), ultra-tough shortprints (Newhouser, etc.) and condition sensitive issues (registration, centering). All in all, one of my favorite sets from the post-war era. |

One of my all time favorite sets. It's got easy cards, tough cards, recognized variations (Aberson, Peterson and Hermanski) a myriad of color variations, retired icons, rookie cards, you name it. |

Ted Z. please excuse my ignorance. After quick read on oldcardboard I learned that the set was really just a 1949 issue. I was initially just going by what you see on the graded holder in the card scanned above, shame on me. |
