2.6K seems like a steal. The last one on eBay sold for over 5K. Congrats to the winner!!! (who is quite happy with the price) |

The last one on ebay had Buck Weaver on it AND was only listed in the minors category. I think this red one was a great price. Had I not already had the team it would have gone for more. With everything going on, and the other cards I actually "needed" lately, I just couldn't justify going higher. It would have been a color variation I needed. In a better economy I think it might have gone for a little more. To me these are some of the best cards ever made!! best regards |

IF I was made out of money, or didn't "need" the Gilmartin card I just picked up, I would have made a more serious run at it. I really thought it would go for more than it did. I didn't think I would even be close. I am happy for whomever got it. I have a feeling I know who got it, and if it is him, he was the underbidder on my green one with Weaver. best regards |

Interesting that there are two different variations of the Los Angeles team card. |

My understanding is that these cards were folded in half and sold with Bishop's candy bars. That is why you will always see a fold in the middle, on single cards. There is also a sheet of 5 of these cards, in red. A well known west coast collector/dealer has it and the rest of the set. I am also told there are several variations, such as this LA team one. I feel this might be the rarest E card set that is catalogued. |

I have been thinking about the green e221 that Leon beat me up on for over two years. I appreciate that he went easy on me this time. If I don't acquire another card this year, 2009 will still be a success. |

I thought this was even better than the Bishop card...and it sold for a lot less. |

I didn't go easy on you. You got that one fair and square. I figured you and I would be bidding fairly deep. I really love your pickup. Congratulations. BTW, I know you have been thinking about that other one for a long time. I am glad you got this one. best regards |

I thought that PC was really cool too but, personally, I have to draw the line somewhere and I don't generally collect postcards. (not that you are saying I needed to bid on it) Still, that is a mighty fine PCL team pc. I thought about bidding but I don't think I would have gone close to where it ended. I had never seen one like that.... |

Postcards don't seem to get a lot of love from baseball card collectors unless they are part of a set like the Rose Co. or Dietsche postcards. This is probably the only one known of this issue....if they had made a panoramic postcard for every team in the PCL when they issued this one the value would probably be much higher yet as a stand alone item it seems that most who have commented on it already think it went too high. |

Thanks Leon, it has been a long month waiting for that card to end. I really like the postcard too, it is fabulous. I would have bid stronger on it but it ended before the e221 so I had to save money. That said I would not have beaten the winner. |
