This ad for Thoro-Bread Flour made by the Arnold Milling Co. of Sterling, KS was found in a trade journal dated October 1933 entitled "The Northwestern Miller and American Baker". |

I like the Tarzan cards and think this is a neat advertisement. This "Trophy" card below, along with some other information, has led me to think that "thoro" was a type of bread and there were different brands and mfg's, sort of like white or wheat; but "thoro". This ad above could be for "Arnold Milling Thoro Bread"? So, while I like this advertisement I am not yet persuaded that this is the same company that put the Tarzan cards out. (nothing personal |

Leon, I agree that this type of flour was probably sold to various bakeries around the country to market as they saw fit. Just another piece to the puzzle. ?? |
