I guess he did not get enough for the card. I paid him right away and it was for 2 to 3 day priority mail. A week goes by and I get a refund without any email from this seller at all. I the refund notice from paypal states his son sold the card. Sounds like BS to me. Just want you guys to know what happened and to watch out.

Is this supposed to be in another thread Robert? If so then put it there and I will delete this one. If not then maybe we will have fun again and I will go back to my Chevy Malibu? And Frank will start hallucinating again....

I've got it rigged better, now. I have a mirror behind the monitor, so I can look at the front of the monitor and see the front of the card, or into the mirror and I see the back of the monitor and the back of the card. Trouble is that image is reversed. I think a second mirror would fix that, but I have more musrooms to eat, first. 1967 Opel Kadet Wagon!!!

What is going on with these threads??????

I might just have to "Dark Side of the Moon" it while watching the "Wizard of Oz".

That's where I feel like I am.

Very nice....the mushroom reference brings back 34 yr ago memories.....it wasn't me but everyone around me....I was too young. As for Dark Side of the Moon....My wife and I did go see Roger Waters a few weeks ago, in concert, and he played the whole album.....we were front and center 2nd row.....probably 10-15 feet from him the whole concert. My wife and I met for the first time at a Pink Floyd Concert about 14 yrs ago.....(it was set up, not happenstance) so it was kind of nostalgic.

That is the value of memories, Leon. I trust you and wife had a pleasant evening. It fascinates me when I see a 16 year old with a Pink Floyd shirt, black, with the prism... And no one could have convinced me way back then that Cadillac commercials would have Led Zeppelin in the background, no way that would ever happen.

Memories are part of why we collect baseball stuff, I think.

If a TOO MUCH thread gets started, I'll take my mirrors down and stay out of it! And I've decided Steve may be onto something, the "L" did look a bit rebuilt. Need to illuminate it with black light. And illuminate the mouse, too.

Here's the link. I guess it is just another case of a seller thinking he or she  can do what ever he or she wants to. If a card does not go up,  just come up with any excuse  to hold on to the card. There is certainly no harm in talking about this stuff on the board, per the rules, but you might want to preface us with what you are talking about before you post a reply....I do sort of enjoy, though, the totally meaningless drivel that we reply with as there can be some good humor in it. best regards

I think that the seller should have mailed Robert the card. He could have ended the auction early if the price was too low, start the auction at a higher amount, or have a reserve. But to just not send it seems wrong to me.

Boy, With that fear of retaliation now absent, the entire eBay climate has changed. It's gonna get ugly for careless sellers... YIPEE!

Hmmmm.....let's see. Card is won and paid for. Card is never received. However, this isn't a "negative" experience? Sounds like the ULTIMATE negative experience to me.

If you are not going to give the person who won the auction the card. He is in the wrong buisness. Negative rightly desereved. Many other options like stated above. Start auction higher, have a reserve, could of ended auction early. No excuse his son put it up. Well if the son must be old enough to know what he is doing. he must take responiblity for him.

"Card was sold without my knowledge as I stated Thanks for the negative feedback I hope the theory about good and bad kharma is true"

Since we already have Barry patrolling English spelling and grammar, I will take it upon myself to patrol the Sanskrit spelling on the board. "kharma" is spelled karma.

Thanks Rob. I'd throw in Tibetan too, but there have not been many Tibetan misspellings lately.

Yes it was an auction that deserves a negative, but would you have still negged this seller if this
happened say in April?

Is that question an indictment or praise for the new system?

what else could of been expected other than a refund? if the son indeed sell the card then should the seller "pull another card from his a*s" to produce one?

if i put the item # in correctly, wasnt it a crappy veach?

im lost on this one...

It was neither.

After looking at this sellers feedback he also sold some other vintage cards on the cheap.

It is quite possible that his son did in fact sell it.

With all that said the buyer has a right to leave whatever feedback he desires.

Well if it was a month or two ago I would not have left any feedback at all. Because if I left a Negative back then we all know I would have gotten one in return. I think the new system is good in the respect that if a transaction like this one happens we can leave the proper feedback without worrying about getting one in return for no other reason but revenge. He could have emailed me and explained it to me or he could have offered me a different card or maybe I would have been happy with the refund but not to get in touch with me was not the right thing to do. And yes over the years there were times I should have left Neg's but did not because of the fear of retaliation. Rob
