That's one of my favorite cards, so I would agree with your pick. I think that's the first Cobb I ever bought. |

Nice pick up. You have to figure, a nice Cobb like that doesn't expect flowers, chocolates or exclusivity. |

Did you say 22? Outstanding performance, "all da way around"! I'm slowly collecting Soveriegn Backs now. In about 10 years or so, (Maybe) when I have "3 months worth of retirement pay" saved up, I'll be able to pry it from your hands to complete my set |

Great Cobb. Whoever said you wouldn't feel bad about the money once it is in your hands is right. I'm 26 and spent a little less than 2 paychecks for each of my 2 Cobbs, and have been glad that I did both times. The bat off will probably be the next Cobb I buy. I am thinking of going for the T206 set as a long term collecting goal, but I've been slowed up since 2 that I have bought have been Cobbs. Nice card. |

That card has all the wonderful components you could (or at least I could) want in a T206. Was one of my first Cobbs -- and vintage cards -- as well. |

...you picked the right holder. Too often rookie Cobb buyers try to save themselves a ton of money and wind up with an unslabbed reprint or a PRO graded trim job. Here you made a wise decision on many fronts. |

I'm 36 and still have yet to ever crack the top tier HOFers among my card collection. Well done! |

Haha thanks for all the encouragements guys. This is only my intro into the top tier guys i guess. I do have a Matty T206 White Cap graded a 3 and a T211 Walter graded a 3, but this is my first real big purchase. I spent 900 on the Cobb and before that the most I ever paid for a card was 375 for a James Ryan N29, however that was a raw card and is now sitting in a BVG 6 holder : ). Won't get it for 375 anymore. |

My first Cobb (T206 red portrait) came when I was about 32. I didn't know what a T206 was when I was 22. Congratulations. Nice card. |

Thanks. I've been collecting since I was about 10. Except now I actually have money coming and going to make actual purchases. When I was younger all I did was spend birthday/christmas/confirmation money on my cards so it was always just a few hundred here and there. Now I can finally start to really build. That's not to say I don't already have a fantastic collection, but now there is no looking back. Unless of course I end up poor or shoot to celebrity stardom and pick up a drug habit or two. |
