Default SGC registry not taking cert # ers

Posted By: rand

was wondering if anyone has a similar problem. i have tried to update a couple of cards and the cert # ers come back as invalid or not registered to this set. i am sure there will be plenty of bugs to be worked out, this was a major overhaul. personally i think this was a terrific investment on SGC's part, with the issues at psa, many more people will want to register their cards with the new registry.

I just started a "Way I Collect" set. Jacklitsch Collection.

Added eight cards. No problems. Are you sure that you included the extension, e.g. 8152345-001? Also, some of the cert numbers are hard to decypher due to the way the flips are printed. That could be a problem.

I hear that they are aware of some bugs and are working on it. Given that the new site was just launched this weekend that's understandable.

All in all, it looks great!!

EDIT: Another problem is that you have to have the name exactly as it is in the Registry and if the Registry has it wrong it can'r be entered.

Default SGC registry not taking cert # ers

I tried updating the OJ HOF collection and received the same message for 3 of my cards.

2 questions:

1. What's the format for reporting the cert#'s to SGC?
2. Where on their website can you enter an SGC cert# to verify that it is valid??

Thanks.

Dan

I am having the same issue. I am sure it just a problem they will fix soon. A complete overhaul like this will always require a little de-bugging.
