I have two photos of Nap Rucker. The first is a recent purchase that I know is a M101-2 Sporting News Supplement, with the date September 16, 1909 on the front. |

According to Marc Okkonen's book on team uniforms, Brooklyn did not wear that logo/design on their arm until 1910, and the uniform depicted correpsonds to the 1913 squad. If he's right, this would not have been issued in 1909 as handwritten on the back. Also, the first 10 Sporting News premiums from 1909 had that white informational strip across the top, and after they started in July, each week is accounted for. I'm guessing it's a premium from some other source. |

thanks for all the info so far! He's not on the checklist for either Boston Herald or Sunday Post, and a quick scan of the oldcardboard.com "M" cards doesn't show any similar looking photos. And the checklists I've seen for Sporting News Supplements only has the one Rucker (from 9/16/09). |

It is from the 1913 series of Baseball Magazine Player Posters. That is the only year he is listed as being printed. |

These are so confusing and assigning a year seems an impossible task. |

I have a Chief Meyers Baseball Magazine poster, and it has his name at the bottom, but not in a box like: the M101-2s, Boston Sunday Post, Boston Herald, and Philadelphia Evening Times. I think you can rule out The Baseball Magazine. I think the key to identification is matching the player's name and box to another supplement with the same design. Perhaps a small regional newspaper issue. |

I received a couple of emails (thank you guys!). One confirmed its not from the Police Gazette, and the other said its a Brooklyn Eagle supplement and while very rare, its trimmed. |
