typo, old holder? SGC was more lenient with grades back then. |

Steve - I was referring to the holder, but I was unaware older SGC holders didn't have "SGC" on them anywhere and that the gold "seal" on the back was so different. Would someone mind posting a pic of an old SGC case for comparison? |

Can someone else confirm that's what an old SGC holder looks like and it's not a knock-off? It's puzzling to me that SGC wouldn't put their name on the holder... |

It is in the background of the white flip....a relatively light font, but it is there. For what its worth, SGC does not guarantee the grades on those old holders... |

Marc - I see "SG" but not "SGC." I thought it was like seeing "Polex" instead of "Rolex." |

100% authentic SGC, think from the 1997'ish years... |

The biggest difference Ted is the price tag to start the auction and also the fact he isnt giving away a "secret" about the card being harder to find than normal. Also he was asking if it was legit, not knowing if it really was, meaning if it wasnt he would be helping potential bidders, not that at that price there should be many. You knew the card was legit, you knew it was underpriced at the time and you knew telling people how hard it was would change the way they may think about it,thats a huge difference than this.Thats not even close to the same thing |

lets be serious, the people who look for rare or any back variations were all over that card by the time it was posted here...there was no bargain to be had. the seller knew what he had, it was listed properly and in the title. i can understand both sides here, but it wasn't like the seller was in the dark on this card. there are so many back collectors of t206s now as opposed to even a few years ago that you are not going to get a minor rarity for a decent price let alone a real rarity like this one w/o paying. |
