Hi Rand! Just a quick clarification: there is a big difference between "Honest Auto Bid" and placing an upto bid at any non-REA auction. "Honest-Auto Bid" is a trademarked name of a secure bidding process, trademarked by Create Auction. REA is a customer of Create Auction. We paid for the development of "Honest Auto Bid." Mastro Auctions does not use "Honest Auto Bid" and this system is sort of associated with REA because we are the only company that uses it though we do make it available to all auctions (for some reason no other auctions have yet expressed interest). Just wanted to clarify because I think you are using the term "Honest Auto Bid" interchangably with systems wherein one places maximum bids at other auction houses, and this is not accurate. No harm, just wanted to clarify, as I believe the distinction is important! |
