Ok...I'll admit it isn't the prettiest card in the world. But I've seen much worse get into holders....and PSA says this one is "too worn"? Should I even bother resubmitting or sell it off? |

It kind of looks like the bottom crease is bad enough to pull the card in 2. They may have looked at it that way. If the crease is not so bad then its a PSA 1 to me... |

Get it in an SGC 10 holder first and then sell it. |

I think its ridicilious. Had one of the "big boys" submitted this it would have made it into a holder. |

It's a poor graded card regardless of who sends it in and should be graded that way. I would bet the $10 on getting it graded that you will make more than that back by doing it.....otherwise, if I were keeping it, I wouldn't bother. |

I guess I'm crying over nothing. But the whole reason I sent it in to begin with is because PSA woudn't grade a Marquard portrait (which...yes, I'd agree that was too worn) so I have a free voucher for this...which now I'll have one more. This is just crazy though. Yes its creased all over and could fall apart any minute..but geez. They'll put cards in holders that are missing 25% of the card itself. |

They have graded far uglier cards a 1, in my opinion. including several of th PSA 1 Mantles Levi has owned over the years. That card should easily be allowed in a holder. In fact I sold a Bull Durham PSA 1 about 3-6 months ago that looked as bad if not worse. |

I'll give you $5 bucks for it, just to take it off your hands and relieve your anxiety over the grading process. |

You should give SGC a shot. Just got 180 T205's back from them and there were a few I thought wouldn't grade because of condition (rough, beat up, etc). I was pretty happy to see they holdered with a numerical grade. |

Turner...I'd gladly give SGC a shot...if I could sell off all my PSA's...which doesn't seem easy to do. |

I agree with everyone else, submit it to SGC and they will grade it unless there is evidence that one of the creases is actually a taer in the card which has been restored and being held together that way. |

If you look closely at the damage running from top to bottom there's some spots where there's sharp straight cuts. The card was probably cut in half at some time and glued back together. That's why it was returned from PSA and SGC will also return it to you ungraded. Both services would likely put it in an authentic holder for you noting the alteration. |

RedMan..anytime I've had that happen before...that is listed when submission pop...."restoration or N-2. This one just received "no", which is what the Marquard received when they sent a voucher. |

Good point. If it's been glued back together, and upon closer examination it does look like it might have been, then it might not be able to be holdered. I have had very small amounts of glue, on insignificant tears, cause total rejections...... |

From looking at the back closely, it does look like it was cut from the bottom up to about the "150". It could have been cut in half and glued back together...or could it just be a heavy crease? |

Anyone doubt that if it were a Honus Wagner they would have slabbed it? |

In between Cigarettes and Standard there is also a very sharp line. The card will be very fragile with that kind of folding damage and should bend at the middle under its own weight. If it's firmer than it looks like it should be then that's also a good sign it was glued back together. |

It is very fragile. TO me, just looks like honest wear...but who knows. |

Ask for an authentic grade from SGC, I'm sure they would be happy to do that for you. |
