The funny thing is that I usually complain about OSU (funding, administrative decesions, etc.). But the baseball team is one aspect I really enjoy. |

A CWS championship and beating USC in football (didn't that happen?) equates to a really good sports year. |

The irony is the natural enemy of the baseball bat in the beaver. Just as the natural enemy of the volley ball is the porcupine, and the natural enemy of the hockey rink is the broken thermostat. |

One of these day the University of Oregon Ducks will wake up and add college baseball. They are the only team in the PAC 10 that doesn't play baseball. Kinda like Wisconsin which is the only team in the Big 10 that doesn't field a team. |

Kinda like Illinois, which a few years ago decided to stop fielding a football team. |

Oregon State gets much credit, as it's no doubt a difficult thing to win consecutive championships in the NCAA. Both the basketball and baseball formats are difficult to overcome. |

A repeat in baseball is particularly tough since they lose players to the pros at a much higher rate than football. Basketball is becoming more like baseball in this respect. If someone is still around in their senior year, it is highly unlikely they are going to the pros. |

Barry, I graduated in 1987. Fun place, lots of drinking, not much studying. Very pleasant few years I must say. |

Quick, alert Leon. This Oregon State thread has been hijacked by a bunch of Emory graduates. |
