Did anyone else see that? That's the second time in two seasons that I've watched that on TV. Last year it was a bit different, the Dodgers did it in the 9th inning to tie the game. |

although i did find your post humorous and agree with much of it (i too can be very sarcastic), of course it would be buried if it happened in a devil rays-royals game: who cares about those two teams, anyways?? as a die-hard, born and bred red sox fan, i do agree with u that the fact that it happened in a game between the red sox and yankees means it will probably be beaten to a bloody pulp by espn--but u seen to be somewhat overly bothered by this...are u perchance a royals or devil rays fan?? |

I happened to watch it and saw the other games also. Great rivalry, but just like last year, only one of these two teams will be in the playoffs. Detroit, Minnesota, Chicago and even Cleveland are all better than the 2nd best team in the East. The days of the AL East getting two teams in are over. |

I don`t think Det. Chi. Minn. and Cle. are all better than the second best team in the AL East. |

I watched and followed all three games and it was an unbelievable series, Sunday night was just incredible - home runs, good pitching, good defense from both teams - that is what baseball is all about. |

If the Yankees can't get Clemens and if they do, if he is not as good as last year or previous years, they will be watching the playoffs from their respective estates. Their starting pitching, even if Mussina and Parvano return and stay healthy is just not good enough. The Bronx Bombers have a lot of firepower in their lineup but they will lose a lot of 8-6 games with that staff. This is what George gets for raping his farm system of young pitching talent over the past few years to acquire big name, over the hill, players. |

JD Drew was with the Dodgers when they hit 4 consecutive HRs last year and he was one of the guys that hit one with the Red Sox last night (Apr 22, '07). Oddly enough he hit the second of the four HRs for the Dodgers and he hit the second of the four HRs for the Red Sox. |

It is really pretty amazing that he was involved in both streaks. People always did expect big things for J.D. Drew, so far he has disappointed, but maybe things will start turning around for him. |

More amazing than JD Drew being involved in both 4 homer episodes is the fact that he wasn't on the DL during either of the two games. |

Even if ESPN shows EVERY Yank/Sox game and no others any fan can still watch more games involving more teams than he could twenty years ago. Besides, baseball managed to survive for years before TV even existed. |

We are fairly spoiled these days. I remember when being able to watch one or two games a year on TV was something to look forward to. Listening to a game on the radio was always fun. Now days we're all a little more demanding and never satisfied. Maybe that's why kids these days are so impatient... they get everything on demand and having to wait is the unthinkable... |

What's interesting to me, is that all the other 4 in a row teams did it with the heart of the order, except Cleveland, which did it with the 8,9,1, and 2 hitters |
