I recently purchased a new new safe for some of my cards. I saw in previous posts that people seemed to like a safe that Home Depot sold, with a combo key/digital lock. I looked at the safe at Home Depot and purchased it. It came with 2 desiccant packets to absorb the moisture in the air, but I must have thrown them out accidentally. My question is, where can I buy a few extra packets of these? Any info is appreciated. |

Depending on your safe's size, one of these should work fine. They have an indicator on them that let's you know when it's time to bake them out for re-use. |

Dessicants also emanate gases, which could do more harm than good. An environmental hygeinist recommended putting cotton towels in your safe or storage area to absorb the moisture. Also, buying a hygrometer (humidity meter) is a good investment. The humidity in your storage area, ideally, should be between 40-70%. |
