SteveHello,
I often come read, the information on here is incredible. Seems as though there is someone on here to answer any question. It is because of this I thought this would be the best place to ask my question.
My question involves a Shoeless Joe Jackson postcard. I purchased this card about 6 months ago and have been trying to find out any information about it I could. So far, here is what I have come up with.
This photo and postcard was reissued in 1978 in a book called "Great Baseball Players of the Past" and was edited by Bert Randolph Sugar. There were 32 players issued in the book. On the book version of the postcard, there is a blurb running down the middle of the back vertically, stating the copyright and year of printing. Here is a link to an Ebay auction showing the backs of the reprinted cards.

As you can see on my postcard, there is no blurb in the middle. It seems in every other way, they are the same. My guess is that Dover Publications got permission to reprint this set. So to me, that means this set was put out before, I am just not sure when, or by who. If anyone can help me out with any information, it would be greatly appreciated.
