I recently obtained a 1922 William Paterson card (Travis Jackson). It has him playing for the "New York Nationals". I have seen a picture of Babe Ruth's card that says "New York Americans". Is that what they did for this series, treat the league as a team?? |

It was very common in that era for cards to list the city and league, rather than the team name. And typically, the teams were referred to as "Nationals" and "Americans" rather than "National League" and "American League." |
