I'm going to be looking into buying an original Honus Wagner before too long. Other than the t200, Colgan's, and National Game, are there any Wagner's to be had for under $1000 from his playing days? Any guidance would be appreciated. |

If condition is no object, then absolutely. Within the last year, I picked up a beautiful Cracker Jack Wagner that was slightly but noticeable trimmed along one edge for about $300 on ebay. |

The 3 game cards from 1913 era......WG5 (National Game) and WG6 (Tom Barker Game), and the WG4 (Polo Ground Game) are can be had in mid grade for around $500-$700 now. |

The Pinkerton PC's are very cool. I used to see them fairly often but don't anymore. I always like the detailed pics of Hans swinging...those forearms are something. Bet he never had a problem finding a vein to get a shot....(sorry for the other pic...they're scanned together)....regards |

For a $1k and if condition isn't a priority, you should be able find anything except his t206, e107 and Reccius in that price range. Now finding one for under $300 that is rpesentable, that is a bit more tricky. |

I agree with Leon on that swinging Honus pic. One of my favorites. |

That Pinkerton "swinging pose" could also be found on wag's baseball magazine premium...a good example of an affordable wagner...that is, if you can find one. |

Does anyone know what the last for sale/auction T5 Pinkerton Cabinet of Wagner went for? Guess it would have to be torn in four pieces to get less than $1000. How about a lower condition W600? Have any surfaced in the $1000 range lately? |

I agree Bob, a pinkerton wagner would cost multiple thousands if I had to guess unless it was in two pieces. Heck, Im aware of a pinkerton postcard matty (sgc 50) that just sold for just a hair under 1k very recently. |
