That's a lot of money, but it's a nice looking example. If you were to purchase one T5, that might be the one. Joe jackson, nice condition and the photographic print pasted on straight: the trifecta! The T5 makers are rather notorious for their quality control, including often pasted the prints on crooked. |

Personally I think that card is one of the prettiest I've seen and the fact that it could be one of a kind elevates it to that price level, so no I'm not surprised. |

It should be noted that cabinet cards in any form of Joe Jackson are rare. Even if it was just a normal studio cabinet it would probably sell for lots of money. |

To me, it is better than the t210 prookie, so it is still cheap. |

"But is it a true baseball card?" |

I can say with certainty that it is not a unique card, however, it is still extremely rare. Jackson's T210 is a $100,000 card and has more surviving examples, so the price isn't too suprising. I'd personally rather own the 1913 Boston Garter Jackson, both amazing pieces. |

Truth is in the eyes of the beholder, in bbl cards. Why else would a Wagner reprint sell for over $200. regularly. And yes, it is a true baseball card, I think. |

$131,000 with 25 minutes to go...Amazing. When I bought my "Encyclopedia of Baseball Cards last June, I saw the T5's in there and thought I would like to collect them along with postcards and T206's. HA. Maybe after I hit the lottery. I had no idea hoe much they went for. Every once in awhile I entered Pinkerton search on e-bay and never saw one listed. I know why now. |

Anyone ever have items go for well below what the consigner thought they'd get? Ever had a consigner make good on it and charge a lower consignment fee? My two items didn't budge at all during the final day (well one bid), but nothing during the last several hours. |

Did anyone ever check with Mile High to ask whether the entire photo is glued to the mount? Looking at the picture in a prior post, that would appear to be the case (though it's difficult to tell). Years of experience with T5s has shown that the factory only glued down a small strip of the photo at the top. Held upside down, the bottom of an unfiddled-with T5 photo on its original mount will dangle freely. Similarly, a T5 photo separated from its original mount will only show glue residue at the top. |
