E145 1914 Cracker Jack sizing

Could some of you let me know if it's not out of the ordinary for the E145 1914 CrackerJack series cards to be 1/16th of an inch shorter either top to bottom or side to side other than the 2-1/4"x3" size some literature states they are.
I have some that look good (unaltered), even under magnification but are 1/16th short or just slightly less than that from either top to bottom or side to side.
None exceed the 1/16th in shortness.
Seems to me from what I can tell, the sizes can vary just a smidge.
Any help would be deeply appreciated.

I actually had a couple 14's sitting on the computer desk. Both are dead on 2 1/4" by 3". Obviously that does not mean that the examples that you have are trimmed.

Hi Sal,

I had a partial 1914 set graded by SGC a couple of months back and had three returned as undersized which I subsequently had SGC put into AUT holders.

The cards have been in my collection for over 30 years and were obtained from the original collector so they were not trimmed or altered.

Edited to add that I measured the three that were returned and they were, if anything, just a smidge over 1/16th of an inch off.

So, in this boards opinion, would SGC possibly grade an E145 1914 CJ card that's 1/16th or less short from top to bottom and side to side???
Im sure there's some tolerance to this issue with them????
Not every E145 is the same size. T206's have the same problem, and you see different variations in size with them all the time.

Hello Sal,
I have been getting my CJ's holdered with PSA, and some cards are definitely larger than others. I will have to measure a large one and a small one and see what the difference is. You can always send them in, see what happens, and if not satisfied, break them out of the holders and resubmit and see if anything different happens. Good luck!
