If your new to the WG5 and WG6 sets, the only thing I can add is look out of reprints. The difference is the reprint have more a rounded corner. The authentic cards have corners cut like a playing card, the reprints have corners far more round. Also the reprints are made of card stock far thicker than the authentic cards. |

The SMR is completely worthless when it comes to pre-WW2 cards. Catalogues aren't much better since the lead time to print is so large that they are out of date by thet time they go to press. The only way to get an accurate guage on pricing is to track eBay and other auction sources. |

Since most of what I do is pre-war, I am fully aware of the generalizations that can be drawn about SMR and The Standard Catalog in regards to pre-war cards as a whole, and eBay's ability to provide real time valuations for pre-war cards. |
