They are fairly rare, most picture players from the PCL. There are 45 different checklisted in the 2006 SCD catalog, with the Ruth pictured on page 1602. Commons book for $300 NRMT, but I would think they would sell for a bit over book especially to a type collector. The Ruth in that condition books for about $6,000-$10,000, dont know if it would bring even $10,000. I dont have that kind of $$ handy, but If I did I would go for something different. 1/4 Million is about 25X too much, if you go by book value. |

I knew the price was outrageous even though I'd never heard of the card. A card that sells for 250k plus (i.e. 206 Wagner) you just kind of have a way of hearing about. Thanks for the info. Once again I learned something new. |
