I'm intruiged by these sets and was wondering if anyone can explain to me the difference between the two. The Old Cardboard website explained the checklist numbereing variations, but is there anything else that distinguishes these two sets from one another? Are the player photos the same? |

To my knowledge, other than a few minor player changes, the only real difference is date of release. It was once believe that the the m101-5 set came out a year after the m101-4s. I believe that now they are recognized as being released in the same year and that the 101-5s were released first. |

Both were printed and issued in 1916--most believe m101-5 first, but I remain skeptical of that, as least as to issuance. |
