They told me 4 years ago that it was impossible to complete a 1909 Obaks set, that even if you had the money the cards just weren't there. Thanks to Glen V. and Brian S. in a three cornered deal, the last card fell in to place. For those of you who want the enjoyment and frustrations of slowly putting together a set, card by card, it can still be done. Lots of satisfaction. The set needs a few upgrades but what set doesn't? Ebay was almost useless to me but private collectors from this board were invaluable. I was also able to pick up 4 or 5 cards down the stretch from Scott B. and Larry Fritsch cards (of all people) that made it happen. Thanks to everyone. If I can just find the frigging 150 series Mohler, I will have all 4 Obak sets complete |
