More FAKES being sold as REAL

Check out Ebay lot #8711951555....1949 Satchell Paige
and the other lots this seller has listed.

Here are more REPRODUCED cards from the same "source"
as the one Travis brought to our attention a couple of
days ago. However, this time the cards are major stars
from the late '40s to the '60s. The seller could possibly
be the same guy, but he is going by a different "name".

The pattern is the same....Private bidders & very short
bidding interval (3 days or less). And, these cards, he
claims are graded; however, I have never heard of this
pseudo-Grading outfit.

As I noted on Travis' thread, these FAKES are very accu-
rate reproductions. I would not be surprised if some of
these cards pass thru the scrutiny of an overworked,
new-on-the-job Grader.

It really doesn't matter what the card looks like when:

The sale is private, and
The slab is from an unknown company, and
The seller has < 10 positives, and
All of the sellers auctions are also HOFers.

It is really waay past the "how gullible are you" stage. Actually, if you only have some of the above four factors, you probably have a scam in progress.

He's offering his fake Mantles for sale off-bay in his auctions. They will cancel auctions for that.
