William BrumbachI recently picked up these two photos of Ty Cobb and Bill Donovan from around 1910 according to whoever wrote on the pictures I guess. I am trying to figure out where the picture was taken but I only have the scoreboard and building(s) in the backround to go by.
The advertising include Dog's Head Bottling and Bass Ale, George M. Jackson Engineers and Manufacturers, a bank of kind, and Siepp's Beer. I could only find info on Siepp's showing they were based out of Chicago. In the backround of the Cobb picture are other players in light uniforms, presumably other Tigers. The Donovan photo shows players in darker uniforms on the field, again possibly pointing towards Chicago.
This is the best I could do with the scans, the details show up much better in person. Anything in these look familiar to you guys?
