Colgan's Chips - Vintage Glove and Bat

I was in an antique shop today and one of the vendors tells me has a Colgan's Chip in pristine condition in the original tin. (Couldn't remember the player)

Anybody have an idea what market value would be?

He also said he had a split-finger glove from the 1930's and a long narrow bat. Any suggestions on what to look for for pricing on those? That would help, too.

The Colgan's tins are about $10-$40 ...pristine it would be close to the top....the card's can be had in really nice shape. I would think a common in an 8 holder at about $75-$125....but I don't follow them too much so could be off a little....later

Along with a 1930's split-fingered Rawlings scripted Lonny Frey glove , I got the following:


Unknown Tickets - One is a Willie Mays barnstroming ticket? And the other? i have no clue.


Then the two postcards - postmarked 1906. The Colgan's Chip in NM condition of a minor leaguer as well as the original tin it came in. And the Joe Tinker Cigar Band/Label.

Not a bad little purchase. DOES ANYONE HAVE INFO TO HELP ME WITH THESE ITEMS?

I have the Mays ticket but have no idea of its value.

The Tinker cigar labels are fairly common. I recently sold off a duplicate on ebay. I only got 99 cents for it. I suspect it is actually worth 5 or 10 bucks.

The Tinker cigar label is from circa 1910. They are not rare, but are worth more than 99 cents. Worth the picking one up for the collector. The Willie Mays All-Stars played in the 1950s. There also were the Mickey Mantle All Stars. It was a friendly exhibition, and one Mays team had sever HOFers including Aaron. The Linvingston Park ticket may have Negro Leagues association. The embossed metalic postcards date to the early 1900s.

Thanks guys. What about the Colgan's Chip? I looked at the PSA Pop Report and SMR online and did not see Baerwald's name. He was obviously a minor leaguer, but is this from the R354 set?

The Baerwald is from the E254 "Stars of the Diamond" set. It's a common card.

The Livingston Park ticket is most likely a ticket for a local New York semipro club from 1931-34. Today the park is called Walker park and it is located in Staten Island.

Did you happen to pick up the bat, and if so does it have any markings?
