Boston Store Question

Is this set from 1916 or 1917? Old Cardboard says 1917, but the Lemke catalog says it mirrors the 1916 Collins-McCarthy set. Who is right?

Both are now recognized as being from 1917.

and perhaps others too (I stopped researching)both have captions showing teams they did not join until 1917.
