B18's to clean or not to clean?

Long time onlooker of this N54 forum and "the other" forum, first time poster.

I have several hundred B18 Blankets and had discussed at length with a few folks at the National last year about possible means of cleaning B18's and whether or not it should be done and if so, how. You get my meaning. Basically, these are not cards in my opinion, they are fabric, so can it be understood that it is ok to clean these?

Wow, several hundred?? You must be close to the complete set?

Someone once told me that you could take them to the dry cleaners and have them specially cleaned somehow. I never trusted this suggestion. I guess I could buy a beat up piece of crap one off eBay and try this out.
