I passed on an opportunity to buy a nm common T215 Pirate about 10 years ago for $1500. It was at the St Louis Nat'l. I have an oriental character card just for the Pirate back as I was a type collector. Let's see em'. If you've got em' flaunt em. You just don't see em' very often. |

This is one of the few sets I've never seen a card from. I'd love to see one. |

I just cannot remember the exact name of the person I sold it to (A NM Doolan). Also, shortly after I bought this example, Lipset auctioned a NM example in an auction - don't know who won it (can't remember the player, but I have the catalog somewhere). As a side note, the ones I have seen are all NM and appear to be handcut - anyone have any ideas?????? |

here is a front and back scan of my T215 pirate card. this is the Lipset card referred to above, from the john & judy burk type collection. it is not hand cut but a bit diagonal cut, which is typical. i have seen 1 lower grade one(exish) which had the same diagonal cut and large size as this one, i saw another high grade one in a major auction about this same time and it appeared short top to bottom and also did not have the diagonal cut, perhaps squared up a bit. |

Nice card. I'd scan my oriental character card but it's not as exciting and I don't have a scanner...sorry! |

I meant all that I had seen had a diagonal cut. Also, about half seem short top to bottom. |

CJ, i have quite a few neat items squirreled away(at least what leon hasn;t pried away from my collection). it would not be possible to bring much and have much left to display the stuff really for sale and then of course you run into the "why are aren;t these for sale"? it's just easier to leave it at home than have have to explain to everyone it's for show and tell. this does sound familiar of course, doesn;t it? at least i would be well practiced |

You know that when you're at the table (at the National for those that don't know) you like telling every 2nd person that most of my crap ain't for sale......actually, this year, if I bring personal stuff, I will make nifty little tags so you don't have to do that too much.....later |
