New grade designation on this label. VG 4

That is a very early PSA grade judging by the long bar code and my recollection is that for a short period of time they had a different numbering system in the lower grades. Not sure what they would consider it today. I have a vague memory of having a 34 Gehrig that was graded under the old system and they bumped it one when they reholdered it for me.

I think what they did on my Gehrig was keep the number the same but raise the designation, so it went from a VG 4 to a VG-EX 4. The discrepancy must be some very low intermediate grade that they eliminated.

oh really? that seems very consistant. some slabbed VG/EX 4 and some slabbed VG 3 and some slabbed VG 4. I love it! Is there a VG/EX 3 or is that considered a rare error slab?

I did win but will always be a little bitter. I am still out legal fees and travel, 7 vacation days from work, and god knows what other time and expenses. I also dislike the grading in general so I thought I would display another inconsistancy that I noticed.
