i recently picked up a few 1919 zeenut cards but they're all irregularly sized- i think some of them (if not all) were trimmed. what size are these cards supposed to measure? |

The SCD Standard Catalog inaccurately lists the size of a 1919 Zeenut card without a coupon as 1-3/4" x 3-5/8". This is actually the approximate size of a complete 1919 Zeenut with coupon. A 1919 without coupon should measure around 1-3/4" to 1-13/16" wide, and around 3-1/8" to 3-1/4" tall, though I find ones even a little under 3" to be perfectly suitable. The heighth is what normally will vary, as Adam mentioned, because the coupons on the bottom of these cards were normally removed by kids rather inaccurately. |
