Thanks for the comment. It's a really nice card with a lot of provenance that I didn't mention. Some things can sell themselves without all of the hype we so commonly see. |

thanks to everyone for your bids. I am not sure of the venue for the rest of the 19th Century cards yet. This worked pretty good but we'll see.....regards |

Leon, are you going to post the ending prices on these 19th century items. |

In order to end the auction the deal had to be at the 55k level....cash or trade......Otherwise it would not have ended as that was the price.... |

Thanks Leon, I certainly could not afford the card, but I like to track 19th century items. Some of your other stuff might be in my range:) |

Leon, you said the card had provenance you didn't mention. Now that the card is sold, would you be willing to fill us in? |

First of all this card did trade at 55k. So that is the price it was sold for....otherwise, it would still be live in auction. Thanks again to all bidders and the trust they had in me to put in relatively large bids. Even with a very slight glitch at the end it went very smoothly. I think everyone involved was fine with the way it was run. Everyone had equal opportunity to win it and Net54 shows we have the best audience in the industry again!!!! IN major auction, even at 15% commission to the buyer, this card would have cost $63,500 (after buyers premium)......Be ready for a better mouse trap in the future |
