So bad it's almost funny, except someone may part with 1,000 for a forgery that looks like it was done by a 5 year old.

Has anybody written this guy and told him what a scam he is pulling? He should be banned from ebay for his spelling alone. Nearly every other word is misspelled. That alone makes me distrust him.

That you guys are assuming that this is a signature. The seller is clearly selling an "AUTODRAGH". So - until you can properly define that - it is probably a legit auction.

This guy has never spelled the word autograph right if you go back and look at his old auctions. You'd figure just once he'd mess up and get it right because he has spelled it a few different ways. For this particular auction just based on common sense that Averill was a great player and he was a hall of famer for 8 years before he died im going to say he signed another bat at one point BUT did he ever autogragh another minnie cat,now that is a good question

PS-this seller is a PS as in power seller, try to sleep at night with that thought in your head

Apparently, the Network54 forum now has its very own eBay vigilante of baseball card justice. I wonder if Mr. Scambuster has ever heard of Mr. Roy Huff.

Lucky me - more correspondence from crayola boy:

i noticed someone bought this at the buy it price i think it was you i will turn this over to ebay and forward all your emails as well

My response:

BTW, "bigdave", ebay has a really nice system set up to handle things like this. I'll outline it for you, because I'm sensing you lack greater than a third-grade education:

1) You send an invoice to the winner of your auction
2) If they pay, you go away happy
3) If they don't pay, you turn them into ebay as a non-paying bidder, ebay takes appropriate action, and you request your seller fees to be refunded
4) At some point you still end up getting turned into the government as a scam artist
5) You go to jail, bubba trades you for a pack of cigarettes.
