As a type collector I don't really know about individual card scarcities. I will say that you don't normally see more than about 1 every 2-3 months on ebay. I would rate it as extremely difficult to complete...and if you take the 2 back variations into account it would be next to impossible...from my limited experience. regards |

Mastro had a set minus Ruth for auction not long ago. Lipset had a set minus Ruth and a few other cards for auction. I think if you are satisfied without the Ruth, the set is possible, but if you need the set complete, the Ruth is going to be the sticking point for a long time. |

You also need to be aware the the cards come in two variations - the September and October versions - which are differentiated by the dates on the back. If you are going to collect the set, you need to decide whether you care about the differences. Fronts are identical, though there are slight differences in the dimensions of the cards. As noted, the Ruth card is extremely rare. I have been collecting the set for a few years and have achieved about 90+% (both variations), but have not yet seen a Ruth. |

Saying you wouldn't expect anyone on here to own such a rarity is not really a good statement. I don't know if anyone does, I don't, but I can assure you that the collective collections |

I don't own one but I do believe I have an old SCD article about the card which includes an image of the card. If I can find it I'll post a picture of it. |
