T207 Broken Glass Effect

I recently purchased this card on ebay,it was graded "5 EX" by SCD. I have noticed on a few of the T207's I have purchased the gloss seems to have a broken glass effect. SCD gave the surface a "6". I know the surface cracks are not creases, but shouldn't they be considered a major flaw? I was disappointed the flaw was not disclosed in the auction listing. Is this flaw something that is consided part of the natural patina of the card?

so is the LACK of shellac. I returned a T207 Johnson to Lew Lipset, because the card was naked of shellac, and the borders dead white. Must have gone swimming...

the LACK of shellac is also a bad fault. I returned a T205 Johnson to Lew Lipset because it weas naked of shellac, and the borders were dead white. Must have gone swimming....

The cracking and crazing you see is just a natural part of the card. It doesn't really detract from the card unless it is really bad and I've never seen it so bad that it started paper seperation. It's just a function of the glossy finish on the cards. I would to see what one looked like when they were first issued.

This same high gloss finish, with its cracking or "crazing", also appears on T213 Coupons and M101-4/5 Sporting News cards, plus others I am sure others can name.
