Ramley Question

I've never owned a Ramley before so please excuse the dumb question but I always thought that the cards were printed on thick cardboard. The one I have looks fine but is relatively thin. When you hold the card up, back facing you, to the light you can see the front photo. Is that the way it is supposed to be?
