There is no standard size for N172s -- they vary quite a bit both lengthwise and widthwise. Most price guides list "average" size not "common" size for this issue. |

Michael is absolutely right. However, you can make some generalizations. 1889 cards (and 1890 cards) tend to be big. 1888 cards tend to be small. 1887 cards are all over the place. I apologize for using qualitative rather than quantitative terms. Fact is, I have never measured an Old Judge card. |
