Trying to learn more about these two rather unique wire reports that were with a group of press photos. The first, an opening day 1951 article by Oscar Fraley; the second, an April 25 article by Fred Down. Haven't been able to find many other examples like these. I'm curious to learn more about the publication history of that time period. Would these articles have been written by the Sports Writer, then distributed via wire like a telegram to the various news agencies across the Country, and then these would have been used by the paper to print the story in the publication? Both are complete articles just folded over to fit on the scanner. Thanks!
