Default Previously Unseen T11 ? Mailer

I don't think I have seen one of these before and neither has AI ...LOL...

It came with a common T3 that is nice looking, with pinholes, and was said to have come in this. I have my doubts on that part of it.

*edited title to reflect more likely scenario

Maybe someone stored the T3 inside the envelope and it was misinterpreted as being the envelope in which the T3 was mailed.

One came in it, almost no doubt. I just have questions as to whether it was this T3 that came with the envelope. I think it was probably a different one that came in it, but am not sure.

Wouldn't an actual Turkish Trophies issue like T1, T7 or T11 be more likely?

I guess? I am not well versed in the series, but why not a baseball player?

The T1 and T7 are basically the same size as a T3 Turkey Red, but the brand for these is Turkish Trophies. My guess is that the collector utilized the Turkish Trophy envelope to store a T3 Turkey Red card.

Always enjoyable to talk turkey on here.

Turkish Trophies offered silks and leathers of baseball players, but not cards, at least as far as I'm aware. Below is a T11. On the back scan below you can see the various Turkish Trophies premiums and what formats they were offered int. Brian- T11's were also large 6" x 8"

I'm sending this thread to Craig, the T3 expert. We'll see what he's got to say!

Default T3 Mailing envelope

Here’s one that I have. Fits a T3 nicely and has a thin piece of cardboard inside. Note the address on the envelope, compared to the redemption address on the coupon and the card. Coupons were issued by Turkey Red, Old Mill and Fez, not by Turkish Trophies. I don’t think T3s came inside Turkish Trophies envelopes.
