Let's see your Hank Gowdy items
Hank Gowdy is one of my favorite pre-war players. The hero of the 1914 Miracle Braves - he batted .545 in the series. He was also the first MLB player to enlist in WW1.
A really interesting career but not quite enough for the HoF. Still, he received votes for the HoF 17 times. You can read more about him at SABR https://sabr.org/bioproj/person/hank-gowdy/ I'll start with a few of my items: W514, W516-1 and 2 plus a 1923 Type 1 Photo when Hank was traded to the Giants.

I collect items from the 1914 Miracle Braves team, so here are a couple of items with Gowdy:
- 1914 Boston Globe with Gowdy featured promiently on the cover cartoon - 1914 Braves team-signed sheet (signed at a later reunion) incl. Gowdy - giant (maybe 2' x 3') photo of the 1914 Braves team

As a long time Boston Braves and New York Giants collector( photos, memorabilia and cards) you can’t help but acquire some Hank Gowdy items. A great ball player and an American hero. Some of these are framed on the wall so the images aren’t as clear as I’d like them. The panoramic, which has water damage , shows better than my photo and Hank is in the middle on the insert, hands on hips. I have more original photos and postcards of him than baseball cards.
