Texas Now Taxing Your eBay Fees
Texas is using an outdated “data procesing fee” law to impose taxes on the fees paid by sellers on “market facillitator” platforms such as eBay, Etsy, and Poshmark, among others. in addition, Washington State, South Dakota, and Hawaii are taking certain listing fees, including store subscriptions, as “advertising”.
Appears that eBay will collect said fees ranging between 6.25% and 8.25%. Note this is a tax on the fees only, not the total sale but could add up for high volume sellers located in Texas. https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/fe...harges?id=4121 https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/a...mark-and-etsy/
