Default Just curious, but......

How many previous used car dealers have become used card dealers?

Plenty of dealers are good, but there are some who remind of a car lot.

It has been 5 or 6 years since I sold on Ebay, but my Ebay ID was 'used-cards', so you got me nailed on that account.

Although all the cars I have owned have been used cars, I have never been an auto dealer, so I guess that thankfully keeps me from the stigma of being associated with that profession.

Brian (if you believe that, well then...I just might have a sporty W9316 in the lot that might interest you)

A notable chunk of the latest generation of card sellers, especially the shiny stuff...there's a lot cut from the modern "hustle culture" tiktok/instagram/youtube/etc mold...

Effectively annoying at best...disconnected from reality at the worst...

They're the one holding the goods and they hold the power in the negociation, but it's occasionally hard trying to deal with someone who's education in the hobby was molded by artificially excitable internet influencers who scream opinions as absolute fact and mistruths as the way things are done...

I find it a lot easier to deal with the guys who are more "used car" dealer vibe. It sucks to put the work in to get to a realistic deal when we both know the reality, but they tend to actually have a firm grasp of the reality of the market behind the cards they hold.
