Default 50/50 today on AI colorization.

The first one I really like in the colorization. The second one I am figuring out how AI came up with the color for the guy's uniform top standing second from the left. I know it is from discerning a pattern. Thank you, Kolorize.co.

The colorization AI algorithms are mathematical. Sometimes the math works, sometimes it doesn't. The freeware colorizers allow no user adjustments. This is the problem with all those colorized baseball films as well.

It's great that the first pic was colorized, now we know that in the old days direct sunlight turned many colored surfaces into light blue!

Love how AI is not quite up to it. Check on what it thinks bats look like.

Thanks for posting. I too like picture one. The group picture is interesting. It has neutral colors for most players, which I think is why the yellow and pink jerseys stand out like they do.

There were a bunch of colorized photos posted before that must have been done by hand. The results were much better. On the website Baseball In Color, as the watermark indicates.
