Default Uncataloged card from the 1930s?

Here's something I came across today. I'm sorry the photo isn't better — I've taken it from an eBay listing. They look like cards, and one of the two players is definitely Augie Galan. I looked at every type card I know of from the 1930s and 1940s with no luck. They are strange-looking cards, printed on what appears to be photo paper, with dark thick borders and a dark box with the player's name. It also appears they've toned considerably over the years. The collection where these come from also includes many non-sport subjects that are done in the same style. Does anybody recognize these?

It looks like the Ray O Prints a little bit....

This is from my last collection. I don't own it any longer...

Can you post the listing or whatever you know of the checklist?

Looks very similar to the Ray O Print Dempsey I owned. I believe they are scarce enough to take a stab at the auction. Hard to tell from the image but they are a ~2" x 2.5". Maybe more square than my estimate though slightly taller than wide.
