Default You can’t make this stuff up

Was at O’Hare waiting for my flight and for $125 or $150 you get a mystery slabbed sports or Pokémon card.

It’s hilarious that people still call it “the hobby.” The reality is that it’s a gambling enterprise for about 90% of the people involved. This is a pretty stark illustration.

Where was that in O’Hare, by the way? I’ve never seen it, and I assume I would have noticed.

Terminal 5 near gate M14 according to O'Hares website. There also seems to be a few located in Las Vegas.

Wow. Insane. It most definitely isn't the hobby anymore. Let's call it the industry, as someone said in another thread.

My daughter has found her old Pokémon cards, which collectively sha has researched and found that, right now, they are worth a small fortune. Before the balloon pops, she is going to sell them for whatever she can get. She's already preparing a submittal to PSA.
